We are pleased to announce that our Autumn production for 2010 will be .........
Based on the 1997 hit movie which has been voted one of the top favourite British films of all time, with the action being moved to Buffalo, New York. It tells the story of six unemployed men, who decide to form a male striptease act (à la Chippendale dancers) in order to gather enough money to improve their lot in life and for main character Jerry, to be able to see his son. As the guys work through their fears, self-consciousness, feelings of worthlessness and anxieties, they come to discover that not only are they stronger as a group, but that the strength they find in each other gives them the individual courage to face their demons and overcome them. It’s a fantastic show, with a toe-tapping,
hummable score by David Yazbek and a rock-solid book by Terrence
McNally which keeps everything necessary from the film and brilliantly
re-invents the rest. IT’S THE FULL MONTY ALRIGHT!

This year sees the Mansfield Palace Theatre enter it's 100th year!To mark this event, all the local amateur groups have been asked to participate in a one night production, Sunday, September 19th 2010 at the Mansfield Palace Theatre. The production will feature performances from Masque Productions, Mansfield Operatic Society, Far Out Productions, Westfield Folkhouse Panto group & Hospital Panto Group.
